Do you guarantee your work?
Yes, we guarantee the film for as long as you own your vehicle or for 10 years in home and business installations against any material defect.
Can I open my windows straight after installation?
We recommend that you allow 48 hours before opening windows. This is to allow the film to dry and gives the adhesive time to cure.
Will the film affect the heated rear screen of my car?
No, the element on your rear screen will not be affected by the window film.
What precautions do I need to take to ensure my film stays looking as good as I did when first installed?
Treat them as you would the paint work on your car. Don't take anything sharp or abrasive to them. Also, be careful not let your seat belt hit your window when you take it off as this can take chips out of your film.
How does the law restrict the installation of window film in cars?
See our tinting law guidelines for more information on limitations.
Can window film be removed (for sale of vehicle etc.)?
Yes, all of our films can be removed cleanly after many years with no trace.
What is Window Film?
Window film is optical grade polyester sheeting with colored dye and/or metal particles imbedded into its surface to reduce the transmission of solar heat, light, and ultraviolet rays through a pane of glass, simultaneously reducing glare.
What training do our fitters undertake?
Your installer will have passed a grueling, extensive window tinting course. Only when we feel they are ready and we are satisfied with their standard, do we allow them to work on any of our customers vehicles/properties.
Is the film fitted to the rear screen in one piece?
Yes, all hatchbacks & saloon windows are fitted with one piece of tint, heat shrunk to shape.
Can window film be applied to any surface?
Window tint film is designed for application to smooth window glass only. It is not recommended for use on any unsmooth surfaces or polycarbonates. There is a specialist film available for predictably roof panels, which we can also provide.
I've seen windows with bubbles and white lines all over them will my windows look like that?
No, your windows will look perfect for as long as you own your vehicle.
Does tint bubble over time?
No, all films we use are of the highest quality and are fitted professionally. The adhesives are specially designed to withstand extreme temperatures. Bubbles appear from poorer quality film adhesives breaking down or poor fitting.
Since the tint has been applied I've noticed a few scratches on the out side of the glass, where are they from?
On clear glass you wouldn't notice existing surface scratches. Window films reflect more light from the vehicle surroundings, so if your windows are slightly marked, any imperfection may be highlighted.
Window Tinting Questions
Can I tint my wind screen?
No, we do not fit films to any vehicle wind screens unless there is a medical exemption. Sun strips can be applied to the top of your wind screen as long as they do not obstruct your vision in any way.
Will window film prevent fading?
Yes. Window tint film blocks out ultra violet rays, visible light and heat. It virtually eliminates all fading. There are many different factors involved in fading. The main reason is ultra-violet rays. Other factors include visible light, heat, natural aging, interior lighting and more. Because of all these factors no one can technically guarantee "no fading." But a quality window film will stop 99% of ultra-violet rays and a large portion of visible light and heat, depending on which film you choose. But regardless, 99% of U.V. will be eliminated. After tinting many homes, businesses and vehicles, we have had no complaints about fading of furnishings. Window film is the only way to accomplish this and still retain visibility through your windows.
Can window film lower my air conditioning bills?
Yes. Window film is the fastest payback of any building product you can put in a house or building, providing you have windows. Window film can cut out up to two thirds of the heat load of your air conditioner, thus cutting down on the run time, the amount of heat that has to be overcome, potentially reducing utility bills and adding years to the life of your air conditioner.
How long does window film last?
Our installations are backed by a 10 year manufacturer's warranty.
What are security films and how do they work?
Security films work in the same manner as conventional window films work, except they are much thicker. When glass without film is broken it has no support and can fall completely out. This is a major fault as far as security and safety is concerned. When any window film is applied, it bonds to windows and prevents it from separating easily. Depending upon the severity of the problem, window film comes in various thicknesses. Window security films can either eliminate entry or considerably slow intruders down so police response from alarms can work. Without window films, an intruder can break and enter through a window, grab a computer and be out the window in 15 seconds. This renders sophisticated alarm systems useless. Security film can be purchased clear or with the added benefits of heat and visible light reductions. While solving your security problems, you can enjoy all the benefits that window tinting offers.
Will my phone or sat nav signal be affected?
No, your phone and sat nav will work as it did before installation.
I've got a cheaper price from someone else.
If you want a cheap job, that's fine! We regularly get asked to rectify other peoples mistakes because the "cheaper" tinter they used won't come back to them. All of a sudden a cheap job is no longer that cheap. We do GUARANTEED work with a warranty that we stick too!! We use top quality film fitted by approved installers who work to the highest standard. In the tinting industry, the saying "you get what you pay for" is so true.... However, we are realistic and honest with our prices. Just because you drive an expensive car we don't charge extra, unnecessarily. Whether a Range Rover is 1 week or 10 years old the price is the same, the quality of the work is the same and the warranty is the same.
Can you carry out automotive installation at my home/place of work?
Unlike some tinters out there who work out of the back of a car, we have purpose built premises based in Maidstone, with a controlled environment which will enable us to carry out your installation to the highest quality. How can a quality job be carried out at the side of the road with all the dust and contamination in the air?
How long does it take to install window film?
The amount of time it takes to install window film depends on the site of the application.
What is meant by "curing" and how long does it take?
All window film installers use a special soapy solution during installation. It is normal for some of this solution to become trapped between the glass and the film, requiring time to "dry-out". The curing or dry-out time is necessary for window film adhesive to properly bond to the glass. How long it takes depends on factors such as the film type and climate during and after installation completion. Your professional installer will tell you what to expect.
